Any of you keeping up on the Federal Housing Finance Reform Act of 2005? I particularly like how they prevent non-profit organizations that do work with voter registration and lobbying from receiving federal housing funding, but not the for-profit organizations. I used to claim that eventually our country would go back to only landowners being allowed to vote, but this is much less mediapathic: just squeeze a little here and there, and tens of thousands of potential voters suddenly don't vote. And one guess what demographic feels the squeeze? Like, did anyone else in Colorado notice how the returns from yesterday's election were delayed because they ran out of ballots in the Pueblo area? Not in Highlands Ranch or Aspen, but Pueblo.
We saw a raccoon the size of a large Labrador Retriever dead by the side of the road today, whilst riding FAR too quickly. It was the hardest lunchtime ride yet, and I'm still having to be careful when I stand up quickly, lest I faint.
